Does Walmart Allow Dogs

Original review: Feb. 12, 2019

Petswelcome.com / Articles / Pet Friendly Stores Pet Friendly Stores Taking your dog or cat with you when you go shopping may not always be possible – but as more stores and malls allow pets indoors, it’s an option for more and more pet owners. When you're allowed to have your dog come into the store with you, you don't have to leave your dog alone anywhere. While some stores on the list won't shock you, such as Petco and PetSmart, others are pretty surprising. Use a little discretion, of course, when you bring your dog with you to some of the stores. Since when are dogs allowed at Walmart? Lately I've seen several dogs in carts when shopping the Springfield, Ore., Walmart Supercenter. I think this is. The employees are wonderful and always very helpful. Sometimes it takes an extra minute to understand them or them me (I chose to study Latin in high school, not Tagalog. My bad.) The management has not always been as patient or helpful. Once I asked a woman that had been pointed out as a manager to ask a question. I had to follow her around even after I had gotten her attention! When, with a sigh, it appeared I was not giving up she turned to me with a huff and asked me 'What I wanted?!' I proceeded to ask her why there were no cashiers other than self service, open. She said they must all be on break and started to talk to another employee.

I, rather perturbed by now, pointed out she had TWO employees working to assist self service (which I will never use EVER) and could she not take one of them to work as a cashier? I was abruptly told that NO, they were all assigned stations they could not change, turned and walked away. Hmph! I still shop here but it's only because it's the only store of its nature within an hour's drive!!! I ended up waiting for a cashier to make my purchase and when I told her what had happened she simply said they want more customers using self service and swiftly looked over her shoulder to make sure no one HEARD her!!!!

Customer service at our local Walmarts is satisfactory. There is always someone around to ask a question of or for assistance. Checkouts are smooth and efficient. Prices are another subject. Walmart rarely has sales where there are sufficient cents or dollars off to warrant extra purchase. Also, not having sales doesn't give incentive to shop at Walmart for extra savings. Prices compared to another local grocery store are high. Most Walmart store brands in respect to food do not taste as good as other groceries store brands. Pet food prices and supplies as well as variety are equal to other stores and satisfy basic needs. One action of Walmart that has caused disappointment is their removal of firearms and reduction of the size of their sporting goods departments.

Walmart is one of the best stores anyone can go to and find everything you need in one awesome store, love my Walmart. I recently went in. Was looking for a couple small things for Christmas. Wasn't sure really what I wanted to get my niece and my best friend. As I look into the woman's department everything was clearanced. I found so many beautiful tops and the price was amazing. Couldn't believe Walmart had everything at a low price. Between my niece and my best friend I spent ten dollars on each and got some really cute tops and legit. Fresh food was definitely out. Didn't have to go to another store to get everything I needed. Store was very clean and people were really nice. Didn't have to wait for a cashier to fix any of the prices. Everything scanned just what it was marked down to. Thank you to the wonderful people at Walmart for making me feel great and being amazing.

Overall Walmart does have many items to choose from. Unfortunately, many times they are out of specific brand names. It makes me wonder if they might be pushing their store brand. The employees are quite helpful and polite at my local store. I shop here at least weekly and can usually find exactly what I want. But I have noticed that Walmart quality and services seems to change from location to location. An example is the Walmart at Monroeville, Alabama location seems to have lesser quality clothing and less varieties of food. An example is trying to find a fresh corned beef. Virtually impossible! The friendliness and helpfulness of the employees here was much less than at my local store. This made me appreciate my store. Overall I enjoy my experience at my Calhoun Walmart.

Walmart is our one stop shop. It is great store where I live. Open late hours. Easy to find things and I always follow discount days. Only drawback is, some of the Cashiers are scanning some items double. Seriously? How many times I go to customer service and empty my basket to review after waiting long time of period on the line? So Many until I learned what to do... So You need to watch out. Especially if you are going with your family and talking while they scanning. Not just this, you must put price on the item with pencil or pen or make sure you check barcodes (Mostly confusing), so many price tags on shelves.

Check the receipt after you put all in to the basket before you leave. Take a note if you can during shopping. Once you walk out the door, there is no turning back.

I put 4 stars 'cause I am shopping with confident before I go to cashier. I am happy 'cause I shop without falling in to their games. Good Luck. PS: Once I complain about the double charge, Supervisor came and send the person to lunch first before he attempt to fix my problem. My Thinking is the Manager was in it. BY THE WAY I STILL HAVE THE RECEIPTS FOR THESE TRANSACTIONS.

While I was ill I ordered groceries on-line that I picked up at a Drive-in Walmart, the next day. They put my order into the back of my car, and when I got home, I found my previous order had been duplicated and added to that current order; an additional $66.36 in merchandise and groceries I did not need. I returned to the drive-in pick up store, where I just got my order, but they would not take it back and told me to go to a regular Walmart store. I went to 2 of them and neither would take the groceries and merchandise back. All this while I was trying to recover from a recent concussion! I REALLY had a headache after all that.

I called and wrote to Walmart, but the same old story of, 'Sorry, we cannot accept returned food items'. Most of the order was not food or was in sealed cans and jars! I received a letter from one of their Customer Service Reps saying, 'I could sell it or Eat it'. Yes, the 'Eat' had a capital 'E'. Sounds about right for Walmart customer service, doesn't it. So, if you don't need 4 bottles of Honey Mustard Dressing, all at one time, or 2 five pound bags of golden potatoes, or 4 boxes of Biore' Nasal Pore Strips, don't trust Walmart to not double your order. If you do shop there, be sure to check the contents of each bag, before paying and driving away.

Do Walmart Allow Dogs

Original review: May 29, 2019

I used to shop regularly on walmart.com for groceries but for the last several months, there's never anything in stock or only the very expensive stuff. There's never anything reasonably priced. 12 Packs of drinks are around 6-8.00 most of the time or two for 11-12 dollars. The chips are outrageous. Even when they sold them 30-40 % higher for the same product that's in the store it's better than what they're offering lately. What makes it even worse, most everything is out of stock constantly and when you're browsing you have to look through dozens of things to find one thing you want that's actually in stock. Check out the chips and sodas or bottled water. Nothing is ever in stock and what is is so ridiculously priced, it may as well be because I've completely stopped buying any of it.

Also it's the same for their pets products. Everything has gone up by several dollars a bag in the last 6 months or so. It's not what I would call bargain priced that's for sure. I guess I'm back to shopping at the local grocery. They're much cheaper and although I don't mind paying a little more for the convenience of shopping online, I can't pay 2 or 3 times what the price of similar items would be in the store and that's what it amounts to lately. It's VERY expensive. It's lost all of its appeal and when most of it is constantly showing 'out of stock', it's just not worth my time to spend an hour or two trying to find a few items that are in stock that are halfway reasonably priced. I can drive to the grocery store faster.

So I go to Walmart in Brick NJ only to be discriminated against because I’m **. Really??? I was told by employees there that the Hasidics were citizens and they couldn’t ask them to move away from the laptops they were playing on. Meanwhile I’m a paying customer. So wtf, I’m not a damn citizen??!! So lo and behold, they didn’t get my sale today nor will they ever get it again!!! Please share, I really want everyone to know what this world is coming to. Thanks.

I very rarely write a review unless I feel a company like Walmart is making unacceptable, poor decisions. Walmart’s new policy to try and check every person receipt as they exit is completely ridiculous. Do you really think you're controlling shrinkage with this ineffective and unnecessary method. All you are doing is causing your good customers to shop elsewhere. I easily spend $15k/yr at Walmart stores on business and personal goods. I’m in your stores more than I care to share and now I’m going to grocery stores, Target and other retail outlets just to avoid the recur checking nonsense.

The corporate manager who made the decision to do this should be fired immediately and you should find a competent replacement who understands retail and how to control shrink without inconveniencing your good paying customers. Get rid of all the self checkout lines if you don’t trust your customers. I would much rather have a person checking me out but I use self service kiosks because it’s much faster.

Walmart needs to discontinue this practice immediately or your bottom line will suffer. I’m telling anyone who will listen to stay away from Walmart because of this new practice and everyone I have spoken to agrees that they will stop shopping at Walmart until you remove the double receipt check. And what is really absurd is that they are checking the receipt of people who use your cashiers. This is so damn ridiculous. So say goodbye Walmart to all my business and my external network. I bet you never even thought through how this really bad policy of checking receipts would lose so much business so quickly. I can’t wait for the lawsuits to start for detaining customers who have not stolen anything.

I didn’t receive any flowers! Where are my flowers? How could this have happened? I hope you respond to my experience because it is troubling not to receive your flowers on Mother’s Day. My final thoughts!
