Nascar Driver Statistics By Track

    Doug Pensinger/Getty Images

Die-hard race fans have one race they must attend, the night race for the NASCAR Sprint Cup series at Bristol Motor Speedway.

This coming weekend is the Irwin Tools night race at the 'World's Fastest Half-Mile.'

Drivers have always found the oval, bowl-shaped track challenging with corner banking of 24 to 30 degrees and 650 foot straightaways that have six to 10 degrees of banking

The track was built in 1960 and the first race was held July 30, 1961, with a seating capacity of 18,000.

Proving how tough the track was, 42 cars started the first race, but only 19 finished. Program kerja kepala madrasah.

Though the track can now seat 160,000 plus fans, the racing has not changed much over the years. Banging sheet metal and crashed cars were a part of all the races except in 1971 when a race was run caution free.

Some of the greats of NASCAR were exceptionally good at Bristol Motor Speedway. For some drivers it was a favorite track on the circuit, but others dreaded their trip to the half mile track.

Let's take a look at NASCAR's Cup drivers who have proven to be the best at Bristol through the last 50 years.

  1. Nascar Driver Statistics
  2. Nascar Drivers Averages And Statistics

The following is a list compiling the total number of career victories in Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series competition. The list recognizes 'Cup' victories under the following auspices:

  1. For the second year, the NASCAR Whelen Euro Series launches its Drivers Recruitment Program to find the best drivers representing different backgrounds and develop them into successful NASCAR drivers.
  2. Re: NASCAR Driver Stats I am having the same issue when trying to look at the stats. You get to the stats page, but when you click on any track (Auto Club, Texas, Bristol) or any race (STP 500, Food City 500, Toyota Owners 400) or any track type (Superspeedway, Short, Road Course) instead of showing the stats for what you are clicking on it.
  • Strictly Stock (1949)
  • Grand National Series (1950–1970)
  • Winston Cup Series (1971–2003)
  • Nextel Cup Series (2004–2007)
  • Sprint Cup Series (2008–2016)
  • Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (2017–present)

In-Depth 1.5-Mile Statistics. Below we get into some of the more telling statistics for 1.5-mile tracks. The table is automatically sorted by average driver rating on this track type (best to worst). Also included are% of laps ran inside the top 15, fastest laps per race, laps led per race, and then the% of totals for the last two.

Rule changes in 1972 established a minimum distance of 250 miles (400 km) for points-paying Cup Series events (reduced to 186.4 miles (300.0 km) in 1974 due to the ongoing energy crisis). This led to the elimination of shorter races (50 to 150 miles) from the schedule. Seasons since 1972 are referenced as the 'modern era' largely due to the schedule and distance changes. Ex4 to mq4 online free. Years since 2004 are generally referred to as the 'Chase Era or Playoffs Era.' Only points-paying championship races count towards the total.

Note that the Daytona qualifying races prior to 1972 were points-paying championship races, and count in the totals below. Winrar free download. Since 1972, the Daytona qualifying races do not count due to the race distance change rules. Wins in The Clash, All-Star Race, or international exhibitions at Calder Park Raceway, Suzuka, or Motegi do not count.

  • 2Most wins at different tracks
  • 3Most wins at each track
